Indian patent publication number format enhanced in DWPI 10. August 2007

DWPI coverage of India commenced with applications and granted patents published from December 4th 2004 onwards, when the new patent legislation in India first took effect.

Patent Fulltext files enhanced with predefined patent family display formats FAM and CFAM from INPADOCDB 07. August 2007

The predefined patent family display formats FAM and CFAM from the INPADOCDB database have been added to the patent fulltext files EPFULL, FRFULL, GBFULL, PATDPAFULL and PCTFULL.

FSTA: New 8. Edition Thesaurus now available 02. August 2007

The Food Science and Technology Abstracts (FSTA) Thesaurus is under constant review. It's compiled specifically as a companion and user aid to facilitate searching of the bibliographic database FSTA - Food Science and Technology Abstracts.

USGENE - new on STN 30. July 2007

The USPTO Genetic Sequence Database, USGENE, has been released on STN on July 29, 2007.

USPATFULL/USPAT2 enhanced with IPC reclassification 27. July 2007

USPATFULL/USPAT2 now includes complete International Patent Classification (IPC) reclassification data for the first half of 2007. More than four million patents in USPATFULL and 480,000 patents in USPAT2 include reclassifications.

CA/CAplus patent coverage enhanced 15. July 2007

Patent coverage in CA/CAplus has been enhanced to now include:

CAplus enhanced with French and German abstracts 02. July 2007

French- and German-language abstracts in basic patents from the European Patent Organization (EPO) are now included in CAplus. These abstracts are only included when an English-language abstract is not available.

INPADOC has been replaced by INPADOCDB 06. June 2007

The new INPADOCDB database has replaced INPADOC as of April 29, 2007.

CA/CAplus enhanced with IPC reclassification in Japanese patents 30. May 2007

More than 720,000 International Patent Classification (IPC) reclassifications have been implemented in CA/CAplus patent records from Japan (JP), including more than 528,000 for records with no previous IPC reclassifications.
