Experimental property data collected by CAS now available in REGISTRY
06. Dezember 2003
Starting on December 8, 2003, experimental property values collected by CAS will be added to the CAS Registry file. By mid-December 2003, approximately 58,000 compounds in the CAS Registry file will be enhanced with over 70,000 experimental property values for 13 key properties collected by CAS from the recent literature indexed for CAplus.
The 13 properties are:
- Boiling Point
- Density
- Electric Conductance
- Electric Conductivity
- Electric Resistance
- Electric Resistivity
- Glass Transition Temperature
- Magnetic Moment
- Median Lethal Dose (LD50)
- Melting Point, including Decomposition and Sublimation
- Optical Rotatory Power
- Refractive Index
- Tensile Strength
The values for the experimental properties are numerically searchable on STN. The data display in the experimental property data table, and footnotes include the bibliographic information for the CAplus reference(s) from which the data were extracted. The new properties may be displayed in the EPROP display format at no additional charge.
