FIZ Karlsruhe’s staff totals 315, 56 % of whom are women.  Taking into account that 25% of the employees are working part-time, the total number of employees corresponds to 257 man-years.  

Various training courses are offered on a regular basis in order to develop and promote the scientific, personal, and social skills of the employees

The expertise of FIZ Karlsruhe staff is appreciated at lectures and workshops at universities and other academic institutions in Berlin and Karlsruhe. FIZ Karlsruhe employees also perform advisory functions in committees and advisory councils for education and advanced training.

FIZ Karlsruhe’s employees are active executive members of 30 national and international scientific committees and associations.

A state-approved training institution, FIZ Karlsruhe offers practical training for future media and information specialists, computer specialists for system integration and application development, and IT administrators.
