As of September 1. 2012, in addition to fax delivery in “Super Rush Speed” our supplier INIST (Institute de l’Information Scientifique et Technique, Nancy/France) now also offers fax delivery in “Standard” and “Rush Speed”.
The copyright fee for delivery formats “Fax” and “Printed” via INIST is only 2.00 EURO.

FIZ AutoDoc as a document delivery service for users of Embase

FIZ AutoDoc has been integrated as a document delivery service into ELSEVIER's Embase database.

As a consequence, users of Embase can now directly link to FIZ AutoDoc from their results view and easily procure the full-text of a document via FIZ AutoDoc.
To benefit from this new full-text linking option based on OpenURL technology, users of Embase
1. need a FIZ AutoDoc Login ID or STN Login ID
and
2. full-text linking options in Embase have to be customized
(to do so, users should contact their regional E-Helpdesk, e.g. nlEMBASEinfo@elsevier.com in Europe, and request the specific link for FIZ AutoDoc to be enabled)

As soon as the full-text link has been appropriately customized in Embase, a "FIZ AutoDoc" link is available in the results view. By clicking the user is linked to the FIZ AutoDoc login screen. By entering the FIZ AutoDoc LoginID or STN LoginID the bibliographic data of Embase are automatically transferred to FIZ AutoDoc and entered into the corresponding fields in the order form. After checking the order data, the user can conveniently place his document order in FIZ AutoDoc. See how it works:

As a consequence, users of SciVerse Scopus and Reaxys® can now directly link to FIZ AutoDoc from their results view and easily procure the full-text of a document via FIZ AutoDoc. To benefit from this new ELSEVIER full-text linking option based on OpenURL technology

SciVerse Scopus users can customize their full-text linking options

by contacting the SCOPUS e-helpdesk http://www.info.scopus.com/contact/ and requesting the specific link for FIZ AutoDoc to be enabled for them,

by enabling the link themselves via their Administration Tool

Reaxys^® users can do this by contacting the helpdesk nlinfo@elsevier.com and requesting the specific link for FIZ AutoDoc to be enabled for them. As soon as the full-text link has been appropriately customized in the ELSEVIER online tool, a "FIZ AutoDoc" button is available in the results view. By clicking this button the user is linked to the FIZ AutoDoc login screen. By entering the FIZ AutoDoc or STN LoginID the bibliographic data of the ELSEVIER application are automatically transferred to FIZ AutoDoc and populate the corresponding entry boxes on the order form. BLDSC PDF-deliveries from new email address

Deliveries in PDF/DRM FileOpen format from the BLDSC will now be sent from the e-mail address: noreply@bldss.bl.uk . This new e-mail address replaces the formerly used archie@bl.uk. Further, you will notice faster delivery of items, higher quality of scanning and full colour of all documents as standard.

Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (Philadelphia, PA, US), a WOLTERS KLUWER HEALTH INC business, will be available as a new FIZ AutoDoc document supplier for the pay-per-view option. Thus, articles from more than 260 e-journals of Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW) can be ordered and downloaded via FIZ AutoDoc immediately.

Support of ISBN-13

FIZ AutoDoc now supports 13-digit ISBNs (International Standard Book Number) in addition to 10-digit ISBNs on the “Others” order form.
This order form for other, non-journal and non-patent literature (conference proceedings, books, reports, articles from books, etc.) can be accessed via "New Order" ⇒ "via Order Form" and the "Document Type" ⇒ "Others" drop-down menu.
Orders for these types of “other literature” always need to be intellectually analyzed by our experienced FIZ AutoDoc Service Team and are therefore processed manually. For this extra time and effort, an additional manual processing fee will incur. Some orders of this literature have to be purchased from external sources and delivery may be delayed. You will be notified by our staff, if the requested delivery mode is not available.

Enhanced order form “From other Search Result”: Parsing of RIS format

FIZ AutoDoc now provides a convenient way of ordering documents in RIS-file format (RIS: Research Information Systems, Inc).
The order form “From Other Search Results“ - currently offering comfortable ordering of references from PubMed - has been enhanced to additionally support citations in RIS-file format.
Simply copy the bibliographical data in RIS format into the free text field of the order form ”From other Search Result” and click "Parse Search Result”. The record is analysed consecutively by import filters for RIS format and for PubMed references and, if successful, its bibliographical data are automatically transferred into the corresponding fields of the order form. After double-check of these data, choose or enter further delivery options and click "Proceed" to continue the ordering process.
Please note: the import of patent documents in RIS format is currently not supported.
RIS is a standardized tag format developed by Research Information Systems, Inc. to enable citation programs to exchange data. It is supported by a number of reference management systems (e.g. Endnote, RefWorks, Citavi, Zotero...). Many digital libraries and databases applications like IEEE, Scopus, Embase, ScienceDirect, SciFinderR, SpringerLink, DIMDI etc. can export citations in RIS-file format.

Improved login routine: No need to re-authenticate to FIZ AutoDoc from external sources

So far, you will have to authenticate with LoginID/Password to the system everytime a new OpenURL request, originating from a remote platform, links you to FIZ AutoDoc*.
This login routine will be improved in the way that you will have to authenticate only once, and do not need to re-authenticate with every subsequent request. Only after 90 minutes of idle time, or when you explicitly log off, a new login is needed.
Depending on the application/browser settings, the already authenticated FIZ AutoDoc session will open in a new browser window or in a new browser tab.

*the remote platform might be the CAS Full Text Options website (e.g. after having performed a search in SciFinderR or in STN databases with a STN-Columbus ID) or another web application which offers OpenURL linking to FIZ AutoDoc. [Exceptions: after a search in STN databases with STN-Karlsruhe LoginID or with implicit user authentication the FIZ AutoDoc system does not require authentication with LoginID/Password.]

CAS (Chemical Abstracts Service) is discontinuing its Document Detective Service (DDS) as of March 31, 2011: http://www.cas.org/Support/dds.html

After March 31, 2011, CAS customers who order documents from CAS DDS by selecting “Order Document” from the CAS Full Text Options “Fee-based document services” will see that FIZ AutoDoc has replaced CAS DDS as the default document provider.
For ordering full-text documents through FIZ AutoDoc, CAS DDS customers must setup a FIZ AutoDoc account. An easy-to-use “Instant Account Setup” registration feature will be available online as soon as the “Order Document” option is used.
