Some special information services provide facts and data on conventional and new energy technologies as well as on energy saving technologies for buildings and other sectors of energy consumption.
The information service BINE provides topical information on energy research and technology. It collaborates with many enterprises and institutions involved in funded projects for the development of efficient technologies and renewable energies for practical application.

ENERGY is the world's most comprehensive bibliographic database on energy research and energy technology. It covers all areas of energy, from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources, including nuclear energy.
The bibliographic database INIS is produced in international co-operation. It covers the fields of nuclear research and technology and was established in 1970 with the aim to foster the exchange of scientific and technical information on peaceful uses of atomic energy.
For more than 20 years FIZ Karlsruhe has been providing information and services related to heat pump technology. It participates in projects and collaborates with numerous enterprises and institutions working in this sector.
